Línekite - new rare uranyl carbonate from Jáchymov

Another new mineral from Háchymov, which was described in 2012 is línekite. Its chemistry is K2Ca3[(UO2)(CO3)3]2 . 7H2O.

Línekite was found only on one place on the southern adit on the Geschieber vein on the 5th floor of the Svornost shaft, close to the well known "Proustite place". It forms esthetic green tabular crystals of the glassy luster and their aggregates growing to the rock together with cejkaite and another uranium minerals. Mineral was marked with the No.IMA 2012-66. Línekite originated only recently in the old adit.
